NIGHT OUT:
Hammer Bash! Thursday, June 28, 7pm – Celebrate the kickoff of the Made in L.A. Music series with live music sets from KCRW DJ’s Jason Bentley and Jeremy Sole. Free museum admission and a cash bar.

FOR KIDS:  
Rhythm Child, Saturday, June 30, 11:00am – 12:00pm at the Huntington.  This lively family musical performance introduces parents and children to the world of percussion and rhythm. Tickets $10, ages 2 and under free.

Edgar Degas Stories in the Afternoon at the Norton Simon, Sunday, July 1 2:00-3:00pm.  Explore Degas’ paintings and sculptures of dancers, and then make your own sculptures.  Ages 4-10.

Mummy Magic ArtQuest at the Getty Villa, Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 3:30 pm. Drop-in family activities workshop exploring mysterious mummies.

FOR ADULTS & TEENS:
Afghan Kite-making Workshop  at the Fowler, Saturday, June 30, 1:00 – 4:00 pm with international kite master Basir Beria. Adults and teens 13+. Tickets $20/$25. Reservations required.

Made in L.A. tour at the Hammer, Saturday, June 30, 2pm.  A 45-minute tour led by Hammer Student Educators from UCLA.

Sunday Studio  (Geffen Contemporary at MOCA): Sunday, July 1, 1:00pm.  Take a guided tour of Ends of the The Earth:  Land Art to 1974, then make sun prints with guest artist Christine Nguygen.

Drawing Hour in the Central Garden, Getty Center, Sunday, July 1, 10:30-12:30.  Bring your drawing pads and pencils and enjoy the tradition of plein air sketching with botanical artist Deborah Shaw.  Sign-up begins at 10:00 am at the information desk.
