About the blog: Even though Los Angeles has some of the country’s finest museums, busy parents often know very little about them. I started the blog Museum Stories to help change that. It’s a blog about what’s happening at Los Angeles’ art and cultural museums for grown-ups with kids. I write about the city’s best exhibitions, programs and special events, and share stories about my museum adventures and the people I meet along the way.
I hope this will inspire conversations about ways to spark interest and learning opportunities for parents and children. Jump in to the conversation and let’s explore what art and museums have to offer.
About me: As a cultural anthropologist Ph.D., museum educator, and mother of two boys, I’m passionate about making art and culture accessible for museum family visitors. I teach workshops about visiting museums with children, and work as a museum consultant specializing in creative educational content, programs, and evaluation. Most recently, I completed an evaluation of Noah’s Ark, the Skirball’s 8,000 square foot family interactive gallery. Stay-tuned for more about that exciting project.
See you in the galleries!
