SANTA BARBARA-VENTURA PICK

Santa Barbara Museum of Art: Sunday marks the opening of Crosscurrents–two new exhibitions about portraits in American and European art. One exhibition explores painted portraits from 1750-1850, and the other portrait photography from 1840-1900. The later includes nearly 100 photographic works rarely on view. Both exhibitions “attest to the endless fascination of the human face and form in art and in life.”
